Groundwater Contamination Suit Brought by Neighbors of Hercules Chemical Production Facility Settles

JACKSON, Miss. ¬¬– The parties remaining in a chemical exposure groundwater contamination suit have reached a settlement agreement, according to a recent notice issued by a Mississippi federal court.
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi recently issued a ruling in which it had in part excluded testimony from a defense expert and granted defendant Ashland Inc. summary judgment on all claims.
“The parties having announced that they have reached a compromise and settlement of all pending claims in this matter,” the court said in its July 18 judgment of dismissal.
