Plaintiffs Move for Access to Defense Witnesses in Upcoming Trial

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Plaintiffs in an Illinois welding rod lawsuit scheduled for trial in early 2005 have moved for an order seeking access to defense witnesses who have not yet been deposed. Winterman, et al. v. A.O. Smith, et al., No. 00-L-886 (Ill. 3rd Jud. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).

The Oct. 4 motion was filed in the Illinois 3rd Judicial Circuit Court for Madison County. Plaintiffs claim that although defense attorneys have identified other trial witnesses, none of the witnesses have been tendered for deposition.
