EAST ST. LOUIS — A 59-year-old Illinois woman is the latest to file a lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson and others, alleging a link between ovarian cancer and the use of talc-based personal hygiene powder.
In a complaint originally filed in St. Clair County Circuit Court and removed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois on June 3, Lynne Cebulske accuses the defendants of conspiring for decades to conceal data indicating that the use of their products increased the risk of developing ovarian cancer.
