MADISON, Wis. - A plaintiff in Wisconsin is appealing a trial judge's decision to dismiss his claim against a silica sand manufacturer, arguing that the company should be held liable for instructing foundry workers to wear respirators that it knew were not going to protect against overexposure to silica dust. Haase v. Badger Mining Corp., No. 02-1681 (Wis. App., 2nd Dist.).
