Baltimore Jury Awards More than $1.3 Million in Lead Paint Exposure Case

BALTIMORE –– A Maryland jury has awarded $1.3 million to a plaintiff who alleged that she developed severe cognitive injuries as a result of exposure to lead-based paint.
Judge Stephen Sfekas presided over one-and-a-half week trial, which began on March 6. Maryland Circuit Court for Baltimore City jurors reached the March 12 verdict after three hours of deliberations.
