PHILADELPHIA –– A Pennsylvania federal court has dismissed a number of beryllium exposure claims against two employer defendants, in part finding that the risk of take-home exposure to their employees' girlfriend and roommate was not foreseeable.
In the March 24 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania dismissed negligence and strict products liability against one of the employer defendants and limited the scope of those claims, plus an abnormally dangerous activity claim, against a second employer defendant.
