N.Y. Court Grants Motion to Dismiss Impleaded Insurers in Asbestos, Silica Insurance Coverage Dispute

NEW YORK –– A New York federal court overseeing an asbestos- and silica-related insurance dispute has dismissed third-party insurers impleaded into the action, finding Travelers Indemnity Co. has failed to state a claim against them for contribution.
In the March 20 order, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York did allow Travelers leave to amend its third-party complaint within 30 days.
