Scroll Compressors LLC Removes Metal Working Fluids Lawsuit to Missouri Federal Court, Cites CAFA

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –– A metal working fluids medical monitoring lawsuit has been removed to federal court after the plaintiffs’ employer argued that the claims were subject to the Class Action Fairness Act.

Scroll Compressors LLC removed the case to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri on March 13, contending that the case actually includes thousands of its current and former employees and that the amount in controversy exceeds the minimum jurisdictional threshold.
