BOSTON –– An amici group has filed a brief in a beryllium medical monitoring dispute before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit, saying that reversing the dismissal of the case would “undermine a clear” standard for finding liability for medical monitoring costs in Massachusetts toxic tort cases.
In a Feb. 14 amici curiae brief, New England Legal Foundation and Associated Industries of Massachusetts supported defendant Raytheon’s attempts to have the dismissal of the beryllium claims upheld.
