U.S. Navy Members Amend Lawsuit Asserting Claims of Radiation Exposure in Japan

LOS ANGELES –– Members of the U.S. Navy have taken another stab at a radiation exposure lawsuit, in which they contend that the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant negligently released radioisotopes after the 2011 earthquake and resulting tsunami.

According to the second amended complaint, filed Feb. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, the suit could involve up to 70,000 class members, many of whom were members of the military and served on the USS Ronald Reagan.
