ALBANY, N.Y. – A New York appellate court has affirmed occupational disease benefits for a line technician at a Kraft Foods facility, finding substantial evidence that his respiratory ailments were causally linked to workplace exposure to cardboard dust and polyethylene shrink-wrap fumes.
The New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, Third Department, entered its order Jan. 30 in the appeal filed by Kraft, which sought to overturn a decision by the Workers' Compensation Board in favor of Timothy E. Dosztan.
