CAMDEN, N.J. -- Parties to a personal injury lawsuit brought primarily on behalf of first responders to a November 2012 train derailment have finished briefing plaintiffs’ motion to remand the action to state court based on a disputed lack of complete diversity.
Defendants CSX Transportation, Consolidated Rail Corp. (Conrail) and Norfolk Southern Corp. submitted an amended surreply Dec. 3 to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, which has had the case since defendants removed it on Sept. 19.
