NEW YORK — A New York trial court has dismissed the City of New York as a defendant in a lead paint suit brought by a former union painter and lead abatement worker, concluding that claims against the city were untimely under applicable law.
New York County Supreme Court Justice Kathryn E. Freed said in her Oct. 21 order that claims against The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, The New York Times Co. and other defendants will continue.
