HOUSTON – A Texas appellate court has affirmed a $4,662,000 negligence award against Oncor Electric Delivery Co., which was found partially liable for severe electrical burns suffered by a demolition worker who came in contact with an energized wire.
Texas' First District Court of Appeals rejected Oncor's contention that Marco Murillo's only viable claim against the company would have been premises liability, which he did not raise, affirming the jury's finding that Oncor bore 60 percent liability for total damages of $7.7 million.
