SAN DIEGO — A federal judge has scheduled argument for Nov. 14 and given U.S. sailors additional time to respond to Tokyo Electric Power Co.’s motion to dismiss their suit alleging radiation poisoning while providing humanitarian aid following the Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant disaster in March 2011.
Judge Janis L. Sammartino of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California issued an amended scheduling order July 23, finding good cause to extend the 49 American plaintiffs’ response deadline to Aug. 23.
