OAKLAND, Calif. – A United Airlines (NYSE: UAL) contractor has asked a federal judge in California to dismiss a suit by United employees who claim they were injured by exposure to hexavalent chromium while sanding aircraft parts.
Defendant Leading Edge Aviation Services Inc. concluded briefing on its motion by submitting its reply to the plaintiffs' opposition brief July 31. Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton has scheduled a hearing on the motion for Aug. 21 in the Oakland Division of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
