BATON ROUGE, La. — A DuPont Co. chemical worker has stipulated to a protective order governing discovery in a suit alleging that the company failed to report sulfur trioxide gas leaks at a Louisiana facility and retaliated against the worker for voicing his concerns.
The 12-page agreement between DuPont and relator Jeffrey M. Simoneaux, who is seeking an award and damages on behalf of the United States under the federal False Claims Act, was signed by Magistrate Judge Stephen C. Riedlinger of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana on July 24, and filed July 26.
