Food Flavoring Defendant Resists Coffee Workers’ Demand For More Documents

TYLER, Texas — Flavor & Fragrance Specialties Inc. has asked a federal judge to deny a motion by coffee production workers to compel production of additional documents, either because the materials sought don’t exist or are trade secrets that are irrelevant to the plaintiffs’ injury claims.
FFS submitted its response July 3 to the motion by Emanuel Diaz de Leon and four co-plaintiffs to compel Material Data Safety Sheets dating to 2006, as well as product formulas and invoices. Plaintiffs’ motion and FFS’s response were filed under seal in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
