SIOUX CITY, Iowa — A Michigan couple who blame food flavoring ingredients for the husband’s respiratory ailments have stipulated to dismissal of claims against American Pop Corn Co., an affiliate of ConAgra Foods Inc. (NYSE: CAG) and Firmenich Inc.
The two voluntary dismissals were noted in April filings in the consumer tort action brought in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa by David and Barbara Stults.
The plaintiffs contend that David Stults suffers from bronchiolitis obliterans, shortness of breath and other injuries as the result of inhaling diacetyl and pentanedione vapors in popcorn flavorings manufactured …
