SAN JOSE, Calif. — A California appellate court has affirmed a trial court’s decision to retry claims brought against Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (NYSE: PCG) and two homeowners by the family of a firefighter killed responding to a house fire.
The Sixth Appellate District concluded in an unpublished opinion April 15 that the common law “firefighter’s rule” did not bar the family’s claims against PG&E or the two individual defendants.
