HAMMOND, Ind. — A federal judge has granted a railroad engineer leave to amend his personal injury complaint against CSX Transportation (NYSE: CSX) to allege that his injuries from allegedly hazardous fumes came from his diesel locomotive as well as from a leaking tank car the engine was hauling.
District Judge Jon E. DeGuilio said March 18 in allowing the motion that CSXT would not be prejudiced by Nicholas Howell’s alternative cause of action.
