MIAMI — A Florida appellate court has reversed a trial court’s decision to reject a challenge to jurisdiction in a workplace injury case brought against Steiner Transocean Ltd. (NASDAQ: STNR) because the employer relied on evidence outside the four corners of the complaint.
The Third District Court of Appeal said March 13 the circumstances fit within the exception to the four corners rule, as if the defendant had moved to dismiss for improper venue.
