Wis. Court Approves $750,000 Pay Settlement for Workers in Kraft Pizza Plant

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — More than 1,000 hourly employees of a Kraft Foods (NASDAQ: KRFT) pizza facility who argued they were entitled to wages for time spent donning and doffing their own protective clothing will share in a court-approved $750,000 settlement.
Judge Lynn Adelman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin signed an order approving class certification, the settlement and attorneys’ fees March 4.
Judge Adelman said the agreement was mailed to 1,069 hourly employees who worked at the Kraft pizza plant in Little Chute, Wis., from June 1, 2009, to March 1, 2010, and who changed …
