Cooper Tire Intervenes Solely To Prevent Expert’s Disclosure of ‘Trade Secrets’

DELTA, Miss. — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (NYSE: CTB) has been allowed to intervene in an unrelated wrongful death lawsuit solely to prevent one party’s expert from discussing in depositions what Cooper maintains are its trade secrets.
Magistrate Judge David A. Sanders granted Cooper’s motion to intervene Feb. 22 in the lawsuit pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi for the limited purpose of submitting a redacted transcript of expert deposition testimony by a former employee.
