NEW ORLEANS — U.S. District Judge Carl J. Barbier has declined to reconsider his order granting summary judgment to an Ecolab (NYSE: ECL) subsidiary whose chemical dispersant was alleged to have injured responders to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010.
Judge Barbier entered an order Jan. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana denying plaintiff Malcolm Coco’s motion to reconsider the court’s Nov. 28 summary judgment ruling, saying he would not consider arguments raised by Coco for the first time in his motion.
