DuPont Asks JPML to Consolidate C-8 Personal Injury Cases in Ohio or W.Va.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The DuPont Co. has asked the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to consolidate C-8 personal injury cases in either West Virginia or Ohio, near the site of alleged accidental chemical releases at DuPont’s Washington Works Plant in Parkersburg, W.Va.
DuPont filed its petition Jan. 11, saying that regardless of where the panel chooses to assign the cases, consolidation would eliminate duplicative discovery and conserve resources for the courts and the parties.
