SEATTLE — Washington’s Court of Appeals has affirmed a worker’s compensation board’s rejection of benefits sought by a lawyer who claimed her multiple chemical sensitivity symptoms were linked to office remodeling.
The court noted Dec. 10 that the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals declined to say whether it would approve benefits for any multiple chemical sensitivity claim, limiting its decision to the claim put forth by Jane Potter.
Potter contended that she noticed a strong chemical odor and experienced a metallic taste when her law firm moved to new offices in the Washington Mutual Tower in June 2007. Her symptoms …
