California Jurors Find for Manufacturer in Food Flavorings Trial

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County jury has rejected occupational injury claims by workers at a flavorings factory and reached a verdict in favor of food products supplier Centrome Inc. (d/b/a Advanced Biotech Inc.), the sole trial defendant.
The defense verdict came Dec. 13 after a lengthy consolidated trial before Judge Anthony Mohr that was adjourned for three weeks in November.
Plaintiffs Wilfredo Velasquez, Ismael Rosas and Hector Antonio and Martha Gladys Linares had brought claims in separate lawsuits against a dozen flavoring manufacturers and industrial equipment companies. Centrome, which owns Advanced Biotech Inc., a New Jersey firm, was …
