California Coordinating Judge Pushes Trials Back to September

OAKLAND, Calif. - Alameda County Superior Court Judge Bonnie Sabraw, who oversees California's coordinated welding fume cases, said in her most recent case management order that a case scheduled for trial in April has been "resolved" and she now anticipates the next trials to begin in September. In re: Welding Products Cases, No. JCCP4368 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda County).

Judge Sabraw said in Case Management Order #11, which was filed on Feb. 8, that she "is inclined to dispense with the trial setting concept set out in the CMO dated 8/24/07," and, beginning in September, schedule three cases for trial …
