Welding MDL Court Allows Family to Add Wrongful Death Claim




CLEVELAND - The federal judge presiding over the welding fume multidistrict litigation has granted an unopposed motion to amend a complaint to add a wrongful death claim on behalf of survivors of a deceased Louisiana plaintiff. Ainsworth, et al. v. Lincoln Electric Co., et al., No. 1:09-wf-17051-KMO [In re: Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1535] (N.D. Ohio).

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio entered the non-document order Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley, who presides over the Welding Fume Products MDL, on March 15.
