Lincoln Electric's Insurers Served, But 1st Case Management Conference Still on Hold

CLEVELAND - Insurers defending a coverage action filed by Lincoln Electric Co. have asked a federal judge to continue a scheduled case management conference because they have only recently been served and retained counsel. Lincoln Electric Co. v. Travelers Casualty and Surety Co., et al., No. 1:11-cv-2253 (N.D. Ohio).

St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co. and Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. filed their motion Feb. 16, citing the short lead time to ascertain whether service was proper and prepare for the Feb. 22 conference. The carriers also noted a scheduling conflict for their newly retained lead counsel.
