photo-6In recent months, Dr. Dale Porter, Dr. Vincent Castranova and their co-authors have published a series of articles1-4 on conclusions drawn from a chronic inhalation study of silica using rats. (See Summary Review at the end of this article.) What makes their study different from other acute, bolus exposure studies is its long-term nature and relatively low-level silica exposures.
