Socra Says its Motion to Set Aside Default Based on Established Case Law

CLEVELAND - Socra Corp. has offered additional arguments to set aside a default verdict in a welding fume case, asserting that an opposition brief filed by the plaintiff does not cite any legal authority because the case law favors Socra. Jerkins v. Lincoln Electric Co., No.1:04-cv-18810 (N.D. Ohio).

Socra reiterated its belief in its Nov. 4 reply brief that good cause exists to vacate the Welding Fume MDL court's Aug. 26 "default judgment," and allow Socra to pursue what it says are meritorious defenses to Charles Jerkins' welding injury claims.
