OSHA Cites Georgia Firm for Employees' Exposure to Lead

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A Georgia battery recycling facility has been fined a total of $77,000 for what federal worker safety officials said was a failure to limit employees' exposure to lead.
The penalties assessed against Exide Technologies were announced on Aug. 4 by the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
OSHA said the citations resulted from a Feb. 7 safety inspection at Exide's Frisco, Texas, facility, which employs 125 persons.
