TRENTON, N.J. - A New Jersey appellate court has affirmed the denial of disability benefits to a municipal worker who claimed that exposure to catch basin debris exacerbated a lung injury. Geraghty v. Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority, No. A-5467-09 (N.J. Super. Ct., App. Div.).
The New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division said in an unpublished opinion on May 25 that it found no reason to overturn a workers' compensation panel's conclusion that Roderick Geraghty's medical expert failed to establish a link between Geraghty's job and pulmonary disease.
