CLEVELAND - A welding fume plaintiff awaiting retrial has asked the federal MDL court to transfer the case to the U.S District Court for the District of Minnesota, where it was first filed. Mann v. Airco/The BOC Group, Inc., et al., No. 1:06-17288 (N.D. Ohio).
David Mann filed the motion in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio on May 20, citing health and other reasons for the request.
Mann contends that exposure to manganese in welding fumes has led to neurological damage that affects his speech, movement and cognitive function.
