MDL Court Orders Production of Screening Records for 50 Welders

CLEVELAND - Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley has ordered plaintiffs in the Welding Fume Products MDL to produce notes and records from 50 additional medical screenings of the 521 conducted by a British neurologist which led to the filing of individual cases in state and federal courts. In re: Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation, No. 1:03-cv-17000 (N.D. Ohio).

Judge O'Malley granted the defendants' motion to compel production of Dr. Michael Swash's records, in part, on May 24, ruling that the materials sought are "generally relevant."
