JACKSON, Miss. - Defendants in a Mississippi silica case brought by a decedent's stepdaughter have filed their responses to the plaintiff's appeal of a decision to dismiss, asking the state Supreme Court to affirm that the plaintiff has no standing to sue and that the claims are barred by the statute of limitations. Kinsey v. Pangborn Corp., et al., No. 2010-CA-00925 (Miss. Sup. Ct.).

Pangborn Corp. and another group of defendants filed their brief on March 24, the same day on which American Optical Corp. and seven other appellees-defendants filed a separate response brief.
