WASHINGTON, D.C. - Expected federal changes to workplace exposure limits for crystalline silica are on pace for an April publication of a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in the Federal Register. Occupational Exposure to Crystalline Silica, RIN: 1218-AB70 (DOL/OSHA).
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration noted the April date in the update included in the Dec. 10 issue of the Federal Register, noting that a need for stricter exposure limits has been under discussion for several years.
