MDL Court Schedules Daubert Hearing on Expert's Parkinson's Diagnosis

CLEVELAND - U.S. District Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley has given the plaintiff in a scheduled June welding trial the option of withdrawing the designation of an expert who diagnosed Parkinson's Disease, rather than manganism, or postponing the trial to allow time for a Daubert hearing. Street v. Lincoln Electric Co., et al., No. 1:06-cv-17026 [In re: Welding Fume Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1535] (N.D. Ohio).

That option was included in an order filed by Judge O'Malley on Feb. 24 in the Welding Fume Products Liability MDL in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
