Calif. Court Schedules June Trial on Allocation of Settlement Funds

OAKLAND, Calif. - The California judge overseeing that state's welding products cases has scheduled a bench trial for June 20 to resolve a dispute over the disposition of settlement funds provided by a defendant's insurer. In Re Welding Products Cases, No. JCCP 4368 [Aguirre v. EASB, No. RG05212890; Link v. KFM Joint Venture, No. RG05242754] (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).

Alameda County Superior Court Judge Robert Freedman entered the order on Feb. 25 in a dispute involving welding fume claims by welders on the Oakland Bay Bridge against settling defendant, IHI Environmental Inc. and its insurer, Zurich.
