Supreme Court Extends Deadline for Tamraz to Decide on Appeal

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Supreme Court has extended until March 9 the deadline for Jeffrey Tamraz to petition for leave to appeal a 6th Circuit opinion vacating his $20.5 million verdict for injuries blamed on exposure to welding fumes. Tamraz, et ux. v. Lincoln Electric Co., et al., Application No. 10A744 [Nos. 08-4015, 08-4016, 6th Cir.] (U.S. Sup. Ct.).
Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan granted Tamraz's application for an extension of time on Jan. 27. The letter was filed by the Circuit Court on Feb. 15.
