Wash. Court Dismisses Stroke Victim's 'Safe Workplace' Suit Against Boeing

SEATTLE - The state of Washington's Court of Appeals has affirmed dismissal of an employee suit against The Boeing Co., saying there are no facts that would support the allegation that Boeing's failure to maintain a safe workplace contributed to an employee's stroke. Kresser, et ux. v. The Boeing Co., et al., 64301-1-l (Wash. Ct. App.).
The court said in its Dec. 13 opinion that plaintiffs could not show that Boeing violated any workplace safety statutes or regulations, nor could they show that the company violated a "humane instincts" doctrine.
