Calif. Bridge Workers Still Negotiating, But No Settlement

OAKLAND, Calif. - Counsel for California bridge welders seeking damages for exposure to manganese fumes and defendant IHI Environmental met informally in chambers at a status conference this month but have yet to reach a settlement. In re Welding Product Cases, JCCP No. 4368 [Aguirre, et al. v. ESAB, et al., No. RG05212890 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).

That news was included in minutes of the Dec. 10 status conference held before Judge Robert B. Freedman in the Alameda County (Calif.) Superior Court.

The status conference was continued to Jan. 28.
