California Plaintiffs Drop Bid for Consolidated Silica Trials

OAKLAND, Calif. - Plaintiffs in the California silica litigation have abandoned a plan to have remaining cases in the litigation consolidated for trial. Acker v. A-1 Aggregates, et al., No. RG06274039 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
According to an Oct. 21 docket entry in the Alameda County Superior Court, the motion to have nearly 50 cases consolidated for pre-trial purposes and tried in seven groups according to injury and exposure has been dropped.
