CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Defendant Porter Warner Industries has disclosed the expert witnesses it intents to call during the trial of a North Carolina man who allegedly developed silicosis and lung cancer as a result of his exposure to silica dust. Simpson, et al. v. Air Liquide America, et al., No. 09-172 (W.D. N.C.).
Porter Warner filed its supplemental disclosure Aug. 26 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, where plaintiff John Parks Simpson filed a lawsuit in April 2009, alleging that he suffered from silicosis and lung cancer as a result of silica exposure.
