BATON ROUGE, La. - Two painters who allege that they were exposed to silica while working on projects at Exxon facilities in Louisiana have filed a lawsuit seeking damages for their silica-related injuries. Gremillion, et al. v. Air Liquide America, et al., No. 38518 (La. Dist. Ct., West Baton Rouge Prsh.).
Roger Gremillion and Eric St. Romain filed the complaint in West Baton Rouge Parish District Court against more than two dozen defendants, including Exxon, which they say failed to provide a safe work environment for contractors at the company's facilities.
