JACKSON, Miss. - The surviving family members of a former sandblaster who was awarded $7.6 million for his silica-related injuries have filed a new wrongful death case in Mississippi against defendants allegedly responsible for his death. Eastman v. Southern Silica of Louisiana, et al., No. 10-0129-CI (Miss. Cir. Ct., Warren Cty.).
The Aug 24 complaint in Warren County Circuit Court alleges, among other things, that several companies conspired to cause Robert Eastman's silica-related death.
