ROCHESTER, N.Y. - A New York man has filed a lawsuit in federal court, alleging that he developed silicosis as a result of exposure to silica dust while working at an Eastman Kodak plant. Coene v. 3M Co., et al., No. 10-6546 (W.D.N.Y.).
Robert Coene and his wife, Valerie, filed the complaint Sept. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, blaming the manufacturers of silica-containing power coatings and an allegedly defective dust mask for his lung injuries.
