Bagger Operator Sues Moldex, 3M for Silica-Related Injuries

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - A Tennessee man has sued two manufacturers of respiratory protection devices that he said failed to protect him from inhaling silica dust while working as a bagger operator for approximately 18 years. Walker v. Moldex-Metric Inc., et al., No. 10-164 (E.D. Tenn.).

Julius Walker and his wife, Judy Ann, filed a complaint Aug. 6 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, accusing Moldex-Metric Inc. and 3M Co. of negligently causing the exposures that led to his development of silicosis.
